SHRI RAM NAVAMI: REVERING THE GLORY OF LORD RAMA AS A PROFOUND ALLEGORY

The Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro extends his warmest greetings and best wishes on this auspicious occasion of Ram Navami to the teachers, students and all the Hindu brothers and sisters around the country.

“To all the students, Lord Rama is the epitome of integrity and righteousness. Through his actions we learn that renunciation leads to joy whereas attachment brings about grief and these are the keys for human liberation. I encourage you to emulate these qualities in your everyday lives.”

“Strive for excellence in your studies, nurture kindness towards your friends, and always remember that the teachings of Lord Rama serve as a guiding light in dealing with challenges in life and attaining your goals,” said Hon. Radrodro.

“Whilst we celebrate Ram Navami with our friends and families, I emphasise to all the parents and teachers to echo the teachings of the Ramayana and we must continue to instill admirable moral values such as truth, empathy and right-conduct in our children and this needs to emanate from the teachings and the actions of the elders in our society.”

“Our children carry high hopes for our beloved Fiji to progress towards peace, harmony, and unity by acquiring good values and morals through religious and cultural teaching.”

The Education Minister highlights that as we celebrate Ram Navami, we all must remember the power of the divine Lord within us and must at all times pray for guidance and blessings and which is the very embodiment of love and unity for mankind.
