ALL SMILES FOR WAIDRA MUSLIM PRIMARY STUDENTS AS MINISTER FOR EDUCATION OPENS NEW GIRLS’ ABLUTION BLOCK

A significant milestone for Waidra Muslim Primary School was achieved today with the official opening of the new Girls Ablution Block by the Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro. The project, funded by the Ministry of Education at a cost of $49,500, is an important step in improving the school’s facilities and ensuring a healthier and better learning environment for the students.

In his opening remarks, Honourable Radrodro stressed the importance of encouraging students to set goals from a young age. He spoke with the students about their future dreams and emphasized that education should be the foundation for achieving them. He also pointed out that many students often lack direction after finishing high school.

“The journey starts at the very beginning from Early Childhood Education (ECE) to Primary school, where we must nurture not only knowledge but also guide students in discovering what they want to become as they progress in their education journey.”

The Minister, Hon. Radrodro emphasized that the Coalition government’s goal is to provide facilities like the new ablution block to support quality education. This is part of an ongoing effort by the Ministry of Education to improve schools across Fiji.

“This modern ablution block is one of many initiatives the Ministry is implementing with schools and school managements. We hope that this will set the foundation for other similar projects around the country.”

Honourable Radrodro, also expressed his confidence in the Waidra Muslim Primary School community, emphasizing that regardless of a child’s background, ethnicity, or community, the focus should be on providing the best quality education. This will help guide the children to become responsible and capable citizens of Fiji.

The Minister for Education, Honourable Radrodro, will be visiting other schools in the coming weeks to commission similar projects and continue supporting education across the country.
