HONORABLE MINISTER FOR EDUCATION OFFICIATES QUEEN VICTORIA SCHOOL’S 2025 PREFECTS’ INDUCTION
The Honorable Minister for Education was the Chief Guest at the Queen Victoria School Prefects’ Induction Ceremony today. During his address, the Minister shared that he had been at the Bure Tovata when he was a student at QVS.
The Minister, Honourable Radrodro, reminded the students that the Ministry of Education will not tolerate bullying or acts of indiscipline. He emphasized that the Ministry will continue to support the school, including the introduction of school chaplains and various new pay initiatives that have been implemented.
Honourable Radrodro, reminded teachers to treat students as if they were their own children, as parents and guardians are often far away, and teachers are seen as second parents.
Teachers were urged to remain vigilant and to prioritize their teaching responsibilities above all others, including extracurricular activities like sports.
Honorable Aseri Radrodro congratulated the newly appointed Student Prefects and reminded them that leadership comes with both expectations and responsibility. He urged them to never use their badge as a tool for abusing power, but rather to serve with humility and respect.
