MINISTER FOR EDUCATION RECEIVES COURTESY VISIT FROM HIGH COMMISSIONER OF INDIA TO FIJI, H.E. SUNEETA MEHTA

The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, recently welcomed a courtesy visit from the High Commissioner of India to Fiji, H.E. Suneeta Mehta. They discussed potential areas of cooperation to improve education in Fiji.

Topics included introducing study scholarships for students and teachers, with a focus on areas of need, and enhancing teacher training through TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training). Both leaders also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange between Fiji and India.

Further discussions covered support for school infrastructure improvements. H.E. Suneeta Mehta has agreed to accompany the Minister on visits to schools in need of improvements, strengthening the partnership between Fiji and India.
