MINISTER FOR EDUCATION CONTINUES REVIEW OF FEMIS UPDATES
The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, continued his review of FEMIS (Financial and Educational Management Information System) updates by visiting two government secondary schools, ACS and Sila Central today.
Honourable Radrodro, emphasized the importance of updating school profiles, including student attendance, infrastructure details, and other key information in FEMIS. He reminded the school leaders that filling out these sections is crucial for the Ministry to make informed decisions and provide necessary assistance when needed. The Ministry works based on the information provided in FEMIS.
The Honourable Minister, also addressed issues that have arisen due to incomplete records, such as the inability to identify problems because information like the checkboxes are not filled. He stressed the importance of being honest about whether a school can accommodate all students.
To support schools, the Honorable Minister confirmed that FEMIS training will be provided for Heads of Schools who are not yet familiar with the system, ensuring they have the necessary skills to keep their records up to date. This data on students, school buildings, and other important areas helps the Ministry support schools effectively.
Education Minister, Hon. Radrodro, will continue to monitor FEMIS updates and encourages all schools to keep their records accurate and up to date.
