The Ministry of Education wishes to remind all students that their eTranport cards have been topped up and based on the low redemption rates seen in week 1, the Ministry is urging students who have not redeemed their topped-up balances to urgently do so.
The redeeming of Blue Subsidized Cards has commenced from Monday 20th January 2025 at the following sites:
• Ministry of Education District Offices (listed below)
Students are also requested to note that Vodafone Fiji is in the process of upgrading their e-ticketing terminals in buses, which will see the redeem function for existing blue subsidized cards become temporarily unavailable on buses with new terminals.
The upgrade will also see the phasing out of current blue cards with new cards after which the redeem function is expected to be fully restored. Any further clarification on this can be sought from Vodafone Fiji on Tel: 3312000
In preparation for school, students are requested to redeem their cards via the sites given above. Parents and Students are further reminded to apply for the transport assistance program by filling in the form available with the schools, district offices and the Ministry’s website.
Existing transport assistance students also need to apply for the program every year and provide their updated household income declaration in order to subsequently qualify for the assistance.
For those students who have lost their blue subsidized cards or had their cards damaged, must fill in a lost/damaged card replacement form, get it endorsed by their Head of School and submit the form to any Vodafone outlet in order to receive a replacement card.
