A NEW BUSINESS JOURNEY FOR YOUNG IRSHAD
It was a heart-warming moment for Mr. Irshad this morning, as the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro presented a $500 cheque to assist him to start up his own business venture which provided the young boy with much needed positive vibes.
Hon. Radrodro stated that as Mr. Irshad transitions into adulthood, this support will alleviate financial barriers related to entrepreneurship and can significantly cover essential expenses.
Mr. Irshad is originally from Dama, Bua province and was orphaned at an early age with the demise of both his parents. It was in 2014, Mr. Irshad completed his Year 8 education at Suva Muslim Primary School.
The Education Minister reiterated that by investing in youths, initiatives as such can lead to increased self-confidence and independence and young people will feel more empowered to make important life decisions.
With the money Mr. Irshad received from Hon. Radrodro, he plans to buy local produce from farmers and sell it to local suppliers, which would provide him with much needed finances to propel his business and simultaneously contribute to the community economy.
