THE MINISTER FOR EDUCATION WELCOMES NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS FOR USP AND FNU
The Minister for Education, Hon Aseri Radrodro, welcomed two distinguished women as the newest members of the governing councils for two of Fiji’s premier institutions, the University of the South Pacific (USP) and the Fiji National University (FNU).
Ms. Ofakilomaloma Swan has been appointed to the University of the South Pacific’s Council, while Mrs. Penina Cirikiyasawa will serve on the Fiji National University Council. Both women bring extensive leadership experience and a deep commitment to public service and education in Fiji and the Pacific region.
Honorable Aseri Radrodro, expressed his confidence in the ability of both women to contribute to the continued growth and success of USP and FNU, two institutions that are vital to Fiji’s development and the wider Pacific community.
“I am pleased to welcome Ms. Swan and Mrs. Cirikiyasawa to their new roles,” said Hon Aseri Radrodro. “Their diverse expertise in leadership and education will greatly benefit these institutions and contribute to shaping the future of higher education in Fiji and the Pacific.”
The Minister for Education also emphasized that these appointments reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong, diverse leadership in education. Ms. Swan and Mrs. Cirikiyasawa’s combined expertise will support USP and FNU in producing graduates ready to meet the challenges of the future.
