SUVA GRAMMAR SCHOOL YEAR 13 GRADUATION CEREMONY
Today, the Acting Permanent Secretary for Education, Ratu Meli Nacuva officiated at the Suva Grammar School Year 13 Graduation Ceremony in Nasese, Suva.
In his opening remarks, Ratu Meli Nacuva shared that it was a proud moment for him at the function, as he represented the Ministry as the Acting Permanent Secretary for Education and also as an ex-scholar, former Head Boy.
He further added that from its inception way back in the 1960’s, Suva Grammar School has had a humble beginning, though faced with many obstacles and this year marked as 60 plus 4 Diamond Jubilee – and this is an achievement.
While congratulating the Year 13 gaduands on their achievement, Ratu Meli said that their success adds a new chapter to Grammar’s legacy and inspires everyone and their smiles speak volumes about the hard work and sacrifice that they have gone through.
“This is just the beginning. The journey ahead may have its challenges but remember the resilience and determination that brought you this far. Use the foundation you’ve built at Grammar to establish successful careers and contribute meaningfully to our beloved Fiji’s growth,” stated Ratu Meli Nacuva.
The Acting Permanent Secretary, also acknowledged the parents, guardians, families and teachers for their encouragement, support and commitment towards the success of the Year 13 students.
In his closing remarks, Ratu Meli Nacuva stressed that the Coalition Government continues to provide free education grant, tertiary scholarships, grants, study loans and other forms of assistance for the students in Fiji and this has eased financial burdens from the parents and the School Management Committees.
