2024 BRIGHT LITTLE ONES CHILDREN’S SERVICES GRADUATION

“As I look at these bright faces, I am reminded of the incredible power of Early Childhood Education (ECE). Kindergarten is so much more than letters and numbers. It’s the first step in a lifelong journey of discovery and connection.”

This was highlighted by the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, as he addressed and handed over diploma certificates and medals to the 41 ECE students at the 2024 Bright Little Ones Children’s Services Graduation Ceremony today.

Sharing a verse from the Bible, “ Psalm 127:3 – Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him ”, he shared that the Bible cites children as gifts from God and blessings to families and Children are a reward and a privilege that require nurturing and guidance to grow into healthy, thriving human beings.

“To our graduates, congratulations! Today you’re graduating from kindergarten, and tomorrow, the world awaits you. We believe in you, and we’re excited to see all the amazing things you will accomplish. Children, you must always stay curious, be kind, and keep dreaming big.”

“You’ve made new friends, learned to share, to listen, to ask questions, and to express yourselves. These are skills that will serve you well throughout your life, and we are all so proud of you,” he stated.

Minister Radrodro emphasised that the Coalition Government recognises the importance of ECE and education services in Fiji and advocates on quality early childhood education and ensures that all 873 ECE centres must provide a nurturing environment where children can develop these essential skills, setting them up for success in school and beyond.

“Investment in ECE means that the Ministry, teachers, parents, and relevant stakeholders need to strengthen collaboration and partnership in Early Childhood holistic education. That’s why we are investing in programs, resources, and support for our early childhood centers to give our youngest learners the very best start possible.”

While conveying his heartfelt appreciation to the parents, families, and teachers gathered at the graduation, Hon. Radrodro said, “Your role in a child’s education is invaluable. We recognise the sacrifices you make and the dreams you hold for them. Today is a reflection of your dedication as much as it is theirs.”
