Professional, Mr Isoa Tauribau officiated at the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Open Day held at Marist Champagnat Institute. The event highlighted the importance of TVET as a vital path for students to gain practical skills that can transform their lives and contribute to Fiji’s future.

Mr Tauribau, emphasized that TVET is no longer just an alternative, it is a pathway to empowerment, innovation, and economic growth. This reflects the growing need for skilled workers in various sectors, including construction, engineering, hospitality, agriculture, and information technology. Students were encouraged to seize the opportunities TVET provides. Many successful professionals have built their careers through this route.

As industries rapidly evolve with digital technology, students were urged to embrace new skills in coding, artificial intelligence, and robotics, which are available today through TVET.
