Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) has extended a helping hand to Totoya Secondary School by providing a complete set of rugby uniforms for their Under-14 team.
The uniforms, including jerseys, socks, and rugby pants, were handed over last week as part of RKSβs community outreach and assistance program. While Totoya Secondary had initially requested only 22 jerseys, RKS went further by ensuring the team received a full rugby kit.
RKS has been fortunate to receive regular supplies of sports uniforms from its sponsor, CK Bargain Box. Since 2022, these uniforms have been stored and issued for RKS teamsβ training purposes. The school saw it fitting to share from these supplies to assist Totoya Secondary, a newly established school striving to build its sporting programs.
RKS students and teachers expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to extend this small token of support. They further noted their hope that as Totoya Secondary grows stronger and more established, the school will in the future be able to purchase its own uniforms.
The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, has conveyed his appreciation to RKS for this thoughtful gesture, noting that such acts of solidarity highlight the importance of schools supporting each other to uplift education and holistic development across Fiji, especially in remote and newly established schools. He added that he is pleased to see government schools like RKS demonstrating leadership in this way, as it reflects the values of service, community spirit, and support that the Ministry encourages across all schools.
This act of generosity reflects RKSβs commitment to supporting and uplifting schools in remote areas, ensuring that students have opportunities to develop their talents both in the classroom and on the sports field.
