The Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, officially launched the VITI Showcase and Skills Fair 2025, a groundbreaking national event designed to recognise and celebrate the talents, creativity, and practical skills of students across Fiji.

Held at the Ministry of Education headquarters, the VITI Showcase will unite students from Years 9 to 13 in a series of competitions that extend beyond traditional classroom learning. The event aims to foster confidence, ignite creativity, and equip students with essential life skills through challenges in areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Literacy, Music, Arts, Traditional Knowledge, and Environmental Education.

The competition will begin at the school level at the end of this term. Successful participants will advance through district competitions to national finals, which will be held during the last week of Term 3 alongside the official VITI Showcase and Skills Fair. This event is set to become an annual celebration of student achievement.

The categories for competition include Technical and Vocational Skills, Literacy and Numeracy, Science and Innovation, Arts and Performance, Environmental Education, and Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expressions, reflecting a holistic approach to student development.

The Honourable Minister urged all schools, teachers, parents, and communities to actively support their students throughout this exciting initiative.

The Ministry of Education remains committed to transforming Fiji’s education system by making learning more relevant, practical, and inclusive for all students.
