The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economic Affairs is in Labasa this week to conduct public consultations on the Work Care Bill (Bill No. 7 of 2025) and the Accident Compensation (Amendment) Bill (Bill No. 8 of 2025).
As part of their visit, the Committee met with Heads of Schools and School Managers attending the Ministry of Educationβs FEMIS training at Labasa College. They requested a short session to hear views from school leaders on Bill No. 8 β Accident Compensation.
The Committee also visited Saint Maryβs Primary School and is continuing consultations with the public and various stakeholders in the Northern Division.
