MINISTRY OF EDUCATION STAFF FAREWELL THE LATE MR TIMOCI TOVOKA
The Ministry of Education staff paid tribute to the late Mr Timoci Tovoka, a dedicated officer who served the Ministry for 33 years.
Mr Tovoka, originally from Nabitu Village in Tailevu, was a respected member of the Ministry and widely recognised for his humility, professionalism, and deep commitment to his work. Throughout his career, he contributed significantly to the development of the education sector and was known for his strong work ethic, passion, and dedication to public service.
He began his career as a Clerical Officer, rising through the ranks to become a Senior Human Resources Officer, a position he was promoted to in February this year.
Ministry staff visited Mr Tovoka’s family home to present the reguregu, offering words of comfort and support. He was laid to rest in his village today, where family, friends, and colleagues gathered to honour his life and legacy.
A eulogy delivered on behalf of the Ministry highlighted Mr Tovoka’s long and faithful service, his leadership qualities, and the positive impact he made on the lives of those he worked with. He was remembered not only as a hardworking officer but also as a mentor and role model to many.
The Ministry of Education acknowledges with gratitude the contribution of the late Mr Timoci Tovoka, honours his legacy, and extends its sincere condolences to his family and friends. His service will be remembered.
