THE MINISTER FOR EDUCATION AND THE WORLD BANK STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP AT CPEM MEETING
During the Conference of Pacific Education Ministers (CPEM) being held in Port Moresby, a significant bilateral meeting took place between the Minister for Education Hon. Aseri Radrodro and Dr Cristian Aedo and other World Bank representatives.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review ongoing World Bank-funded education programs and to discuss key priority areas for future collaboration.
“The World Bank has been a significant development partner with the Ministry of Education targeting priority areas such as digital literacy, budget and policy training” stated Hon. Radrodro.
The Minister for Education and World Bank officials engaged in constructive dialogue, addressing challenges and identifying opportunities for enhanced effectiveness.
Hon. Radrodro expressed appreciation for the World Bank’s continued support and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve educational goals.
A key highlight of the meeting was the World Bank’s proposal for a new regional education project. This initiative aims to address shared educational challenges across Pacific Island nations, fostering collaboration and promoting sustainable improvements in education quality and access.
The meeting between the World Bank and the Minister for Education further solidifies the commitment to advancing education in the Pacific region.
