BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPORT UPDATE 27 January 2025
The Ministry of Finance has paid $1.2 million to 6,204 students today. Out of this, around 5,500 applications are for students who have successfully enrolled in Year 13 this year. The Ministry of Finance has so far paid around $42 million to 209,696 students as Back to School Support for the 2025 school year.
We would like to advise the students who have yet to enrol in year 13 that the Ministry will facilitate the payment to all eligible students once the enrolment is complete.
For those parents who have yet to receive their children’s Back to School Support, the Ministry of Finance would like to advise that we have noted issues with their applications including incorrect/unregistered mobile numbers, wrong birth registration numbers or other incorrect/incomplete information in their application forms. This includes around 1000 applications. The Ministry is working with the Ministry of Education to assist these parents, where possible.
