2025 SCHOOL YEAR DEDICATION SERVICE: A CALL FOR COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITY
The Ministry of Education hosted its first-ever Dedication Service at the Centenary Church in Suva, setting a reflective and prayerful tone for the new academic year.
Qase levu veivuke, Mr. Jone Vuto, shared an inspiring message from the word of God, leading the congregation in a special dedication ceremony for students, teachers, and Ministry staff.
The event was attended by the Honourable Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, the Acting Permanent Secretary for Education, senior education officers, and school heads.
The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, delivered his address during the service, emphasizing the shared responsibility of parents and teachers in supporting children’s education. He reminded parents that their role extends beyond the home, urging them to actively invest in their children’s educational journey alongside teachers.
Addressing the challenges posed by rising social issues, the Hon. Radrodro encouraged everyone to rely on the Lord for guidance and provision. He urged students to prioritize seeking God in all they do, assuring them that faith would open doors to success.
In a call for healthier and more productive habits, the Minister also reminded teachers and parents to reduce their consumption of kava. He stressed that responsible habits are essential for maintaining the energy and focus required to effectively support students in their academic endeavors.
The Dedication Service concluded with the Honourable Minister wishing students and teachers a productive and successful 2025 school year.
