HON. RADRODRO OFFICIALLY COMMISSIONS NAVUAKECE DISTRICT SCHOOL PROJECT
The Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro together with the Japanese Ambassador to Fiji, Mr Rokuichiro MICHII, commissioned and handover 1 X3 new classrooms at Navuakece District School to the school management board.
Hon. Radrodro expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Coalition Government to the Government of Japan for their steadfast commitment and invaluable support and stated that their commitment to education, in the far-flung places in the highlands like Navuakece, is truly commendable.
“This project is not just about new buildings; they are safe and happy places where our little learners can explore, learn, and grow. It means a lot to them, and it means a lot to us because it’s about giving them the right place to start their education journey.
The Students and Staff of Navuakece District School were delighted to receive 1 x 3 Classrooms worth $412,134.00 which was jointly funded by the Government of Fiji and Japan. These classrooms are the havens for conducive learning environment for the vanua of Navuakece.”
He further commended, the vanua, school management, parents, teachers and the current HOS for their resilience and encouraged the School Committee members to continue to work in collaboration with the HOS for the success of the school.
Hon. Radrodro reiterated that the Coalition Government believes in collaboration and consultation as the way forward for a progressive Fiji.
“This reflects our government’s steadfast commitment to ensuring quality education is accessible to all, ensuring no child is left behind. Let’s continue in our collective journey to provide the best possible education for our children,” he added.
The Education Minister stressed to all the parents, guardians, teachers, and members of the community that we all have the responsibility to nurture our students and prepare them to be capable and responsible leaders of tomorrow. The School Management, Staff and Students were urged to take ownership of the new facilities.
