2024 NATIONAL CAREERS FAIR
“In today’s rapidly evolving job market, especially within sectors like Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), adaptability and continuous learning are more important than ever. The BPO industry not only plays a crucial role in our economy but also offers diverse career paths that can lead to remarkable growth, both professionally and personally.”
“The 2024 National Careers Fair is an opportunity for all students and teachers to explore opportunities, foster connections, and pave the way for bright futures.”
This was highlighted by the Assistant Minister for Education, Hon. Iliesa Vanawalu during the 2024 National Careers Fair at the Albert Park Pavilion Event Room in Suva yesterday.
Encouraging the students to utilise this platform, he stressed that each interaction is a chance to learn something new and they must engage with recruiters and company representatives and understand the roles they are offering and the skills they seek.
Hon. Vanawalu acknowledged the President of Outsource Fiji and the board members for its foresight and immense commitment in advancing this avenue as a way of enhancing a key thematic area in the Ministry’s strategic direction on TVET and also for creating employment opportunities in Fiji.
He reiterated to the students in their career journey, they must make a commitment to continuous learning, up skill and reskill as needed to stay competitive and build connections that can open doors to future opportunities.
The Assistant Education Minister expressed his gratitude to all the exhibitors and sponsors for their commitment to education and employment pathways and emphasised to all the students to take full advantage of this event and seek guidance during their stay at Careers Fair.
