EDUCATION MINISTER STRENTHENS BILATERAL PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

The Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Envoy to the Pacific and Carribean, His Excellency, Omar Shehadeh along with other UAE delegates today.

Hon. Radrodro extended his heartfelt gratitude to the UAE for its generosity and commitment to supporting education in Fiji. He emphasised that the construction of Ratu Simione Matanitobua College, Muaira Methodist College, and Sigatoka Methodist College through this partnership is more than a contribution to infrastructure and it is a powerful investment in the future of Fiji.

The Education Minister stated that while these schools will serve as foundational pillars for communities, providing children with safe and nurturing environments, he stressed that MOE is looking forward to work together with UAE for future projects.

During the meeting, deliberations focused on the bilateral relationship between Fiji and the UAE towards the education sector in terms of education programmes inclusive of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Technical and Vocational Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) and Teacher Training.
