Speaking at the 2025 Nasinu Festival at the Valelevu Grounds last evening, the Minister for Education, Honourable Aseri Radrodro, described the event as an evening dedicated to the youth, a celebration of dreams, energy, and unity within Fijiโ€™s largest town.

He highlighted that the Nasinu Festival is more than a community celebration, as it provides a platform for the development of young people through leadership, creativity, and participation. The event also reflects the importance of community partnerships between schools, families, and local authorities in supporting youth growth.

The Minister reaffirmed the Ministry of Educationโ€™s commitment to strengthening literacy and numeracy skills, empowering teachers through training and resources, improving school infrastructure, and expanding opportunities in technical and vocational education (TVET). He further emphasised the importance of instilling values such as respect, discipline, and service, noting that good character is as vital as academic achievement.

The Hon. Minister commended the efforts of teachers and parents for their continued dedication to nurturing Fijiโ€™s learners, particularly as students prepare for national examinations. He encouraged students to remain focused and to value perseverance, positive attitudes, and self-belief in their learning journey.

He also acknowledged the Festival Queens for their leadership and encouraged them to use their platforms to promote community development. The Minister commended the youth of Nasinu for their active participation and reminded them to use their talents and energy for positive change within their communities.

The Education Minister expressed appreciation to the Nasinu Festival Charitable Trust, judges, sponsors, volunteers, and performers including CIWA Music for their collective contribution towards making the festival a success.

The Nasinu Festival 2025 continues to serve as a symbol of unity, creativity, and progress, reflecting the shared vision of the Ministry of Education, the Nasinu Town Council, and the people of Nasinu building a better future for Fijiโ€™s children and communities.
