On June 20, the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro officiated the Cadet Passout Parade at Central College Lautoka, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝟭𝟲-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸.
In his address, the Minister commended the school, students, and wider community for their dedication in bringing back the Cadet program, 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗷𝗶’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵.
He acknowledged the efforts of the 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗷𝗶 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘀 over the past few weeks, as well as the 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀. Central College Lautoka was praised for its strong academic and extracurricular achievements, including a 96% pass rate in the 2024 national exams, success in national competitions, and the recent formation of a school brass band.
The Minister also reflected on how engaging with schools across the country is helping the Ministry shape policies focused on inclusivity, resilience, and educational excellence, 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
