The Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, has requested an update from the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) regarding its decision to withhold funding for Pacific Polytech.
Hon. Radrodro said that while the Ministry fully respects the FHEC’s regulatory processes, government funding requires transparency and accountability. “𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. The Minister highlighted the urgency of the matter, given the thousands of students currently enrolled and the upcoming September intake. He confirmed that the Ministry will continue working closely with the FHEC to ensure compliance and that Fiji’s students receive the best education to prepare them for the labour market.
