The MOE Staff recently honored the life and service of Tevita Qorovarua, the late executive driver for the Hon. Minister for Education, who passed away on 29 May, 2025.
Mr. Qorovarua had been a valued member of the Ministry since joining on December 25, 2022. His dedication and professionalism made a lasting impact on all those he worked with.
A heartfelt memorial service was held at the Ministry’s Headquarters, attended by the Minister for Education, the Permanent Secretary, and staff. Following this, Mr. Qorovarua was taken to his family home where loved ones gathered to pay their respects.
The funeral service was held at Kinoya Methodist Church, where the Honorable Minister for Education delivered a touching tribute, sharing cherished memories with the family, vanua, and church community. A former colleague also spoke warmly of their time working together.
Mr. Qorovarua was laid to rest at Nasinu Cemetery, remembered by all as a man of kindness and integrity who touched many lives.
The Ministry extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Qorovaruaβs family and loved ones during this time of loss. His legacy of service and warmth will continue to inspire all who knew him.
