Fiji continued its strong advocacy for Early Childhood Development (ECD) of the Pacific ECD Forum in Apia, Samoa, with the Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, delivered key remarks during the Sector Champions Panel and also participating in the UNESCO consultation on ECD systems strengthening.
Hon. Radrodro reaffirmed Fijiβs commitment to investing in the early years, highlighting:
β’ The launch of Fijiβs first ECD Policy in December 2024.
β’ The rollout of the National Pre-Primary Education (PPE) Policy.
β’ The importance of multi-sectoral collaboration, enhanced data systems, teacher support, and sustainable financing to ensure that all children aged 0β8 in Fiji access quality early learning and care
