Second day of the Pacific Early Childhood Development (ECD) Forum in Apia, Samoa, continued with powerful discussions under the theme Strong Pacific Families: Supporting Parents & Caregivers.
The Minister for Education, Hon. Aseri Radrodro, alongside the Minister for Health and Medical Services, Hon. Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu, and the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Sashi Kiran, took part in key sessions highlighting the vital role of families, caregivers, and communities in raising Pacific children.
Discussions focused on the importance of culturally grounded approaches to parenting and caregiving, and the essential roles of faith-based organisations and traditional knowledge systems in child protection and family support across the region.
The Forum also spotlighted inclusive, community-driven practices and opportunities for cross-sectoral collaboration, aiming to integrate culture, identity, and values into national and regional ECD strategies.
