MINISTER FOR EDUCATION LEADS WALKATHON IN SUPPORT OF FENC FIJI’S STUDENT AID PROGRAM
At the break of dawn this morning, Honourable Radrodro, joined hundreds of students, teachers, and community members for a Walkathon from Albert Park to Vuya Road and back to Albert Park, raising funds for the Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji (FENC Fiji).
The event, themed “Supporting the Vulnerable Community Today,” focused on raising awareness and helping children in need across Fiji. Minister Radrodro thanked FENC Fiji for its work. He stated that since 2009, the organization has helped over 39,000 children, including more than 7,000 in 2025 with school supplies such as books and bags.
Students from schools like Suva Grammar School, Gospel High School, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High, DAV College, and Marist Brothers High School took part, along with MOE and Ministry of Health officials.
The Minister also encouraged families to stay active and healthy, noting the importance of physical education in schools and in everyday life.
With Palm Sunday tomorrow, the Minister wished all Fijians peace and blessings for the weekend, reminding everyone of the importance of caring for children and our community.
