MINISTER FOR EDUCATION URGES PARENTS TO PLAY ACTIVE ROLE IN CHILDREN’S LEARNING AT VATUKALOKO SECONDARY SCHOOL & DRAUNIIVI PUBLIC SCHOOL PREFECTS INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The Minister for Education,
Honourable Aseri Radrodro, officiated the Prefects Investiture Ceremony at Vatukaloko Secondary School, where student leaders from both Vatukaloko Secondary School and Drauniivi Public School were officially inducted as prefects for the academic year.
In his address, the Minister emphasized the vital role that parents play in the education of their children. He urged parents to take a more active role in their children’s learning, stressing that their involvement is crucial in shaping their academic success and overall development.
“I encourage parents to spend quality time with their children, monitor their progress, help with homework, and be actively involved in their education. Your support at home makes a huge difference in their learning journey,” said the Minister.
The Minister also congratulated the new prefects, encouraging them to embrace their leadership roles with dedication, reminding them that leadership is not only about authority but also about responsibility, integrity, and serving as positive role models.
The Minister expressed his confidence that the new prefects, with the support of their parents and teachers, will continue to uphold the values and principles of their schools.
