MINISTRY HOLDS MEETING WITH ALL SPORTING BODIES AT HEADQUARTERS

The Minister of Education, Honourable Radrodro, hosted a meeting with all sporting bodies under the Ministry of Education (MOE) at its Headquarters. The meeting focused on discussing the future of school sports and the well-being of students involved in athletic activities.

Honourable Radrodro encouraged sporting bodies to prioritize student participation in sports and find new ways to keep students engaged in the education system. He also reminded them to view sports not only as a physical activity but as an opportunity for employment and growth.

The meeting included representatives from various sporting organizations, including the Fiji Secondary School Rugby Union, Fiji Secondary School Football Association, Fiji Secondary School Netball, Fiji Primary School Netball Association, Fiji Primary School Rugby Association, and Fiji Primary School Football Association.

Sporting bodies were advised to use their grants and sponsorships more effectively to help grow the sports sector and provide job opportunities. Honourable Radrodro, also emphasized the need for transparency and asked that all audit and AGM reports be submitted to MOE District Officers.

The Minister, Honourable Radrodro, reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with sporting bodies to ensure the continued development of student-athletes. He emphasized that the Ministry is dedicated to providing the necessary support and resources to help students thrive both in sports and in their education.
