Policies
Welcome to the electronic source of approved policy
for the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MoEYS) in Fiji. These policies
have been prepared for use by schools, District, Divisional and Central Office
personnel. The intent of this resource is to provide a central repository of
all approved policies relevant to the Ministry of Education. This is the second
electronic central repository version of the Chief Executive Officer's
instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines that govern the decision
making of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports staff. These policies have
also been made available to schools by Compact Disk (CD).
The policies appearing at this site have been
developed through a consultative process with key stakeholders, referred
through senior officers of the MoEYS and then submitted for consideration and
approval to the Chief Executive Officer (Education). The policies have been
presented in PDF format for security and ease of printing. Adobe Acrobat is
required to view the policy documents. Adobe Acrobat can be downloaded from
this site by
clicking here or
download latest version by clicking
here. In addition, an electronic
copy of the existing
Education Act,
Examination Act
and a Resource Section containing Standards Monitoring Guides has been
included.
The policies appearing at this site are mandatory, as
are any procedures contained therein, and must therefore be adhered to by all
Ministry of Education Youth and Sports personnel. All policy and procedural
statements are lawful orders and Ministry of Education employees not adhering
to these policies and procedures may be subject to disciplinary action.
The Chief Executive Officer (Education) has approved
the policies appearing on this site. This site is not intended as an exhaustive
source of all MoEYS policy at this stage. This site will be updated and
subsequent CDs will be distributed as more and more policy is reviewed
developed and approved. Please refer to your current sources for policies not
contained in this site.
I trust this resource is useful to all personnel in
the course of performing their duties.
ALUMITA TAGANESIA
