ORGANISATIONAL

1. AIM
To ensure that children receive secondary education through the provision
of qualified, trained and competent teachers and financial assistance to
schools as per Ministry's policy, to enable schools to operate efficiently and
effectively.
2. OBJECTIVE.
To provide and monitor
teacher supply and demand of qualified teachers.
To provide financial assistance to Schools.
To monitor operations of schools.
To assess and evaluate development of staff.
To facilitate education access and equity to most secondary school age
children.
To facilitate careers and counselling services in secondary schools.
To provide general assistance on matters related to secondary education.

3. ROLE OF THE SECTION.
The
secondary section of the Ministry is responsible for ensuring the delivery of
quality secondary education and training in liaison with the Ministry's
partners in education [i.e. school management committees], by planning and
co-ordinating all administrative human resources and financial services with a
view to achieving maximum productivity through efficient utilisation of
resources.
