Roles & Responsibilities
The Corporate Services Division is headed by its Acting Director Mr Lal who manages the functions of the different Units within the Division.
The functions performed by the Division are reflected by the roles and responsibilities of the following Units;
The Planning Unit is responsible for the coordination of the development, monitoring and evaluation of the Ministry’s plans and required reports.
The duties performed by the Research Unit included processing of the research requests to be undertaken in Fiji, preparation of the Service Level Agreement for the Ministry conducting researches for the Ministry in priority areas as per the request of the Senior Staff and coordinating the Fiji National Research Council with Tertiary institutions.
The Policy Unit is responsible for developing and reviewing the Ministry’s policies. Besides formulating and reviewing a number of policies, the Policy Unit also represents the Ministry in various policy related forums.
The Unit is a focal point of all child related activities and represents the Ministry at the National Coordinating Committee for Children (NCCC) in their quarterly forums.
STATISTICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT
The Statistics/IT Unit is responsible for
i. collecting, storing and analyzing the Ministry’s data and information’s
ii. managing the two databases of the Ministry;
- Fiji Education Staff Appointment (FESA) and
2. The Fiji Education Management Information System (FEMIS).
