  • CDU

    		The development and evaluation of the school curriculum for Kindergarten to Form 7
    The mounting of in-service courses for teachers, upgrading them on curriculum content and teaching and learning methods
    The provision of professional advise and assistance to teachers through visits to schools
    The assistance provided in the preparation of classroom and national assessment work
     
  • Careers

    		Design and distribute careers information to all secondary schools
    Organise Careers expos
    Network with private and public sectors in order to gain information about the job market.
    Visit schools to enhance careers education
    Counsel students on appropriate subject combinations, writing curriculum vitae, interview tips.

    		Production of weekly radio programmes for schools, that feature Advisors of both CDU & TVET.
    Production of long-term programmes that are aligned to the National Curriculum.
    School visits to assess broadcast transmission
    Workshops to familiarize teachers with radio broadcast lessons
    Production of radio programmes, targeting upper primary school children, addressing teenage social problems.

    		Print, stock and supply adequate stock of textbooks, Teachers’ Handbooks and other educational resource materials, for the successful implementation of the school curriculum.
    Print and distribute Attendance Registers, other cards, forms and folders for efficiency of administration of schools
    Liase with the Controller of Government Supplies, with regards to stock of textbooks on sale in bookshops

    In-service training of Kindergarten teachers
     
  • BEMTUP

    		Visit Cycle 11 participants in their schools
    Conduct workshops for Cycle 12 participants – participanta are Class 3 teachers
     
  • CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION PROJECT
    		•
     
      To write the Citizenship education curriculum that will be integrated into the school curriculum. The project is funded by NZAID and UNDP
     
  • FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION PROJECT
    		•
     
      To revise the Family Life Education curriculum.
    The project is funded by UNFPA and managed by SPC
