Building Grants for Early Childhood Education Centres [Pre Schools], Primary, Junior Secondary and Secondary; including maintenance and upgrading.
Hostel Grants
Textbooks
Maintenance & Upgrading of Government Schools and Institutional Quarters
Establishment, Recognition and Registration of Schools
Monitoring of building grants projects.
Co-ordinating outside educational researchers’ work and conducting research on issues pertaining to educational development.
Assessing the current needs and projecting the long-term needs of the Ministry for school development.
Processing payment of premium of school land leases that are on Native lease. |

Standard Monitoring In Schools [SMIS] Section |
|
Standards Monitoring in Schools is an approach to school improvement through sound and vigorous self assessment, planning, reviewing and reporting.
Implementation of Standard Monitoring in Schools Policy Framework and new planning templates.
Data collection, analysis and reporting of school performance through external review and reporting systems.
Leadership and Management of Standards Monitoring in Schools Policy.
Standard Monitoring Team [SMT] and External Review Team [ERT] visits to support training and professional development of teachers.
SMIS Workshop for school managements, parents and the community.
All schools will be reviewed every 4 years by the External Review Team of the Ministry. |
