a) Staffing of all primary and secondary schools, and teacher training colleges;
b) Management and Industrial issues with staff unions and with school management committees;
c) Monitor schools’ staff establishment and negotiate improved teacher pupil ratios;
d) School establishment, school size, upgrading and downgrading of schools and location;
e) Affirmative action programmes for under-performing schools and also for rural remote schools;
f) School’s Building Grants and Assets Management;
g) Grants to Schools and School Management accountability;
h) Develop succession plans for school leadership and devise strategies for improving school leaders’ capability;
i) Schools Monitoring and Review;
j) Coordination of Education Forum and School Management Board matters;
k) Coordination of Fijian Education matters;
l) Coordination of the Fiji Teachers’ Registration Board Establishment;
m) Assist with the reform agenda of Government;
n) Assist in any other matter assigned by PSE from time to time. |
